As Mulberry Web Design is pretty much a one-man show, I thought I’d take a little time to tell you a bit about myself.

I started learning how to build web sites over ten years ago and have kept coming back to it because I truly enjoy it. Upon graduating from Augustana College in 2002 and moving to Ann Arbor, MI, I dabbled in web design to keep myself occupied while waiting for job offers to arrive. My initial foray into the field was a comedic site built to entertain friends and family, much in the style of a personal blog. This gave me a chance to explore all aspects of web design without any pressure.

In 2008, my wife and I moved back to Sioux Falls and purchased a home in the historic Cathedral District. After a brief stint at the railroad I found my niche at the Co-op Natural Foods where they gave me the opportunity to build upon my previous knowledge. I'm very pleased with what I created and this experience reignited the web design spark. I began building for friends and eventually created a small business. My hope is that Mulberry Web Design will still be going strong in the years to come.

While Mulberry Web Design is mainly focused on serving Sioux Falls and the surrounding area, don't let that discourage you from contacting me if you are located elsewhere. I'm am not just willing, but happy to take on projects from anywhere. One of the bonuses of working in web design is that proximity has little to do with the level of service one can provide. In fact, I have been involved in projects located in Iowa, Arizona, and even Canada.

What you can expect from Mulberry Web Design is a very personal touch, from our initial meeting to the communication throughout the project, I will get to know you and your desires. Since I'll be getting to know you so well, here's the nitty gritty on me:

I appreciate good tunes, good food and Five-Finger shoes. I prefer my homemade pizza to anything I've ever tasted. Wheat beer is my favorite brew. I've hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, read science fiction novels and listen to podcasts and audio books while I run. Tennis is my favorite sport but disc golf is right up there. I play guitar. If I ever have free time again, I'd enjoy some quality time with a new video game.

Let's get to know one another. Contact me with questions and we'll get started on building the perfect site for you.
